How to generate and manage AI access keys in Admin (Credential security)

Where is the AI access code created, and how is it copied?

This one can only be done by a person in Admin. The AI assistant cannot manage its own access code. AI Management Identities is not Users. Users is the list of people who sign in to Admin with an email and a password. This list is the site's AI access codes.

Admin

Open System → AI Management Identities. Click Create New.
Tick Enable API Key. Fill in Name. Click Save.
Back on the list, click the row just created.
On that identity, the Api Key copy button copies the whole key. The small eye reveals it so it can be copied by hand.

Save takes effect immediately. There is no draft step.

Enable API Key

The checkbox that turns the access code on. Tick it before Save, or no key is issued.

Name

A required label for this identity. It is the title of the row, not a login email.

Api Key

The access code itself appears after Save. The copy button next to the Api Key label copies the whole string. The small eye at the right of the field reveals the dots so the string can be copied by hand.

Keep the access code only in the approved secure location.

Note: This string is never sent to another person or through a messaging app, the body of an email, or any public document. It is a key that can change the website.
